Benny and Owen Benedict Release
The Benedict name is well-known in Akwesasne. Frank Benedict was a tremendous player and owner of the Stick Factory at one point. Mike Benedict played and starred in the NLL.
This interview focuses on Ben Benedict and Owen Benedict - two other fine players in the Benedict line. The brothers have made their own marks on the game. Ben starred from Junior B to Masters and was a co-founder of the Akwesasne Lacrosse Minor Lacrosse Organization. Outside of the game he is known as one of the finest duck and bird carvers in the world.
Owen played for some of the great Salmon River High School teams and went on to play university ball on Long Island and North Carolina. He played for the Haudenosaunee National Team in 1994 and 1198. In addition, he played Junior B, Senior B and Senior A lacrosse in Gloucester and Akwesasne.
