Lacrosse Canada Hires Administrative Coordinator

Mar. 18, 2024

Lacrosse Canada is excited to announce the hiring of our new Administrative Coordinator, Sarah Utting. Sarah has had a strong involvement in the game of lacrosse since a young age, and we are excited to bring her expertise on and off the floor onto the staff.

Sarah's love for lacrosse began in 2004 when she joined a boys box lacrosse team in Brockville, Ontario. She was the only female on her team from the age 10-17, this has fed Sarah's drive to grow the game in all facets. She has played for both the Queen's University field lacrosse team, and Team Ontario box lacrosse as well. Eventually Sarah made the transition from player to coach, and helped take Team Ontario to a gold medal at the 2022 Canada Games. She has also been heavily involved in growing the game in Kingston, ON. She has helped coach the team to multiple Provincial A championships, while also sitting on the Kingston Lacrosse Executive board.

Sarah also has a decade of experience working in recreation and promoting the benefits of sports for young people. Through her administrative roles at the Boys and Girls Club, Community Living Ontario, and Queen's University, she has gained experience planning and delivering high quality, results focused initiatives, while managing multiple programs with focus on the end user and excellent customer service.

Below are some of Sarah's accomplishments

Bachelor of Arts in Geography and History (Queens)

Bachelor of Education (Queens)

Coordinator Youth Programs andCommunity Engagement (Queens)

Member of Queens Field Lacrosse Team (2012-2017)

Jr C Brockville Ballistic (only female on team)

Team Ontario Box Lacrosse (2013)

Played on Whitby Rush and won Ontario Championship (2023)

Coached Team Ontario at Canada Games (2022)

We are looking forward to working with Sarah and helping continue her goal of growing lacrosse all across the country.
