Lacrosse Canada Welcomes New Board Members at 2022 Annual Meeting

Nov. 22, 2022

OTTAWA, ON— At Lacrosse Canada’s annual meeting in November, three individuals joined LC’s Board of Directors.

Katie Ranger, an alumna of the Women’s National Team Program, was elected to the position of Athlete Director.

“I am very excited to work with our athletes, help their voices be heard, and continue progressing our sport!” Ranger said of her new role.

Sheena Hubelit was selected as the Director-at-Large (Small MA). This marks the first time a woman has been elected to a Director-at-Large position.

“I’m humbled and honoured to be elected into this position,” said Hubelit. “As a female leader, it’s my goal to inspire and empower others to dream big because ‘the only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it’s possible.’”

Sean O’Callaghan was selected as the Director-at-Large (Large MA).

“As a new representative to the Lacrosse Canada Board of Directors, I am excited and looking forward to working with this Board as well as all of the Member Associations and their representatives on moving the great game of Lacrosse, The Creators Game, forward for all of our participants,” said O’Callaghan.

Paul Magnan was re-elected Director of Administration. Bryan Baxter was re-elected Director of Domestic Development. Jason Donville was re-elected Director of High Performance and International Relations.

Lacrosse Canada would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tami Rayner, Norman McGuirk, and Rob Matsuoka for their dedication and efforts to Lacrosse during their time on the Board of Directors and wish them all the best in the future.
