Ottawa, ON—Lacrosse Canada is excited to announce the addition of a new staff member to our office.
Wendy Dobbin, ChPC, joins the team as Technical Coordinator, previously known as Program Coordinator, bringing years of valuable experience to this role.
She will collaborate with partners to administer and deliver programs, events, and projects that will foster increased national development in the sport of lacrosse. This includes coaching, officiating, and athlete development, as well as technical support for the upcoming Canada Summer Games.
“Wendy brings to Lacrosse Canada a wealth of knowledge and experience as a coach, administrator, and volunteer. She truly understands the needs of athletes, coaches, officials, and administrators,” said Bryan Baxter, Director of Domestic Development.
“Her coaching experience will be most valuable as we move towards competing in the Olympic Games in 2028. I believe Wendy has all the tools necessary to drive the technical initiatives at Lacrosse Canada,” said Baxter.
Dobbin has worked within the Canadian high-performance sport system for over 15 years, and has considerable experience with strategic planning, gender equity, and SafeSport. A multi-sport learning facilitator and Master Coach Developer, she has coaching experience in Canada Games, the Pan Am Games, and Olympic Games.
“Wendy brings valued knowledge to Lacrosse Canada,” said Jane Clapham, Executive Director. “Her coaching experience will be a tremendous asset to our programs, and we look forward to seeing how she brings new life into the development of the sport.”
Please join us in welcoming Wendy on her first day, May 16. She can be reached at wendyd@lacrosse.ca.
