Lacrosse Canada Hiring Content Creation Intern

Oshawa, ON - March 21st, 2025 - Lacrosse Canada (LC) is seeking a candidate to fill the position (Hybrid) of National Championships & Content Creation Intern. REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Content Creation Intern reports to the Communications Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Graphic Design, Photography & Videography: Tasks will include capturing high-quality photos and videos at events, editing and producing video content for social media and marketing campaigns, and assisting in the creation of graphics for promotional materials, digital platforms, and sponsorship activations.

Social Media and Promotions: Tasks will include creating visually engaging social media content, scheduling posts across platforms, and ensuring consistency in branding. Other responsibilities include coordinating brand partnerships with National Team players, planning and executing giveaways, and conducting player profiles for National Team players.

Content Creation: Tasks will include brainstorming creative digital content ideas to generate excitement about the Lacrosse Canada brand, fostering engagement within the online lacrosse community, and developing interactive social campaigns.

National Championships: Tasks will include assisting the National Championships team with digital content creation, photography, videography, and communication support for the 11 National Championships.

Canada Summer Games: Tasks will include assisting the Technical Coordinator with Canada Summer Games logistics as necessary. Attend the Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland from August 8-25, 2025, to capture and produce digital content from the event. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be between the age of 15-30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
  • Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the?Immigration and Refugee Protection Act?for the duration of the employment.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write both professionally and creatively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who is able to meet deadlines and work effectively remotely.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.), Canva, or similar design and video editing software is considered an asset.
  • Experience in photography and/or videography, including shooting and editing, is considered an asset.
  • Experience creating content for social media, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, is considered an asset.
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly (i.e., website editors, content management systems).
  • Must have access to a laptop/computer, internet, and have the ability to participate in Zoom calls.
  • Post-secondary education in graphic design, digital media, marketing, communications, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in French is considered an asset.
  • A passion for sports and/or lacrosse is considered an asset.

JOB TYPE & SALARY

Contract for 16 weeks. This position pays $20/hour, for a total of 35 hours a week.

PREFERRED LOCATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Preferred candidates will be located in Durham Region, Ontario, or St. John’s, Newfoundland, as the role requires on-site content creation for events. This position is hybrid, with a combination of remote work and in-person attendance at select events.
